Poetica

Il mio lavoro è tradizionale non per via della modalità espressiva ma nel significato più vero del termine: voglio attingere dalla Memoria intesa come fonte degli archetipi e da una simbologia magica che ha radici nell’arcaicità dell’Uomo, il quale ha sempre percepito nei segni e nei simboli della realtà delle verità di bellezza trascendente, spirituale, che ha poi tradotto nell’arte come nei rituali e nella vita a tutto tondo. È un accidente il mio prediligere un’estetica che viene definita come “figurativa”, sia nel disegno che nella scultura; il punto è la ricerca di una trasmissione di Verità intuita e studiata in modo da averne coscienza e comunicare con un linguaggio che sia universale e non autoreferenziale.

Statement

Mine is a traditional work not because of the appearance, it is traditional in the truer meaning of the word: I want to draw from Memory intended as the source of archetypes and from a magical symbology which has its roots in the archaism of Man, who has always perceived truths about transcendental and spiritual beauty through signs and symbols from reality, then translated into art, rituals and life in its totality. It is an accident the fact that I prefer the “figurative” way, either in drawing and in sculpture; the point is to try for a transmission of Truth - reached by intuition and studied to have conscience about it -, and to communicate it with an universal and not a self-referential language.
